The Field for the first competition of the year.
|
Contest Director, Andrew McEntyre, has done it again. He must have a direct line to the "weather gods". Another perfect day at Panshanger.
A field of 10 for the day. Roaring forties well represented by Michael Rutledge, Peter Allen, Tony Gray and Tony Sheppard. Accompanying team manager William Deal continues to keep us on our toes. Only three clubs represented today two members from the North West club with Phoenix flyers making up the balance.

| Scott with his Xereltoo |
 |
| Steve with his Mangonel. |
A few new models making their debut this year. Mike Rutledge with his new Vanquish, Scott Kay a new YS powered Xareltoo and Steve Reece with an electric powered Mangonel bi-plane.
 |
| Our very own Michael Rutledge with a very well presented Vanquish. |
Flying skills of the Roaring Forties members has certainly improved over the past year. Mike cleaned up with an impressive score of 3,000, Pete not far behind with 2,916, followed by Tony Gray on 2,598 and then Tony Sheppard 2,488. Pete gained a promotion point. That puts both Pete and Mike on two promotion point each. One more and they advance a class.
