Bits and pieces, February and March.

 A little bit of control line is sneaking back into the club.  A welcome break from pattern practice.  Although some of us need more practice than others.

Apparently same model, same engine and same bods as when the model flew in 1958.  Bods are a bit older and crankier. The Veron Combateer plan was ordered from the original designer, the late Phil Smith, some 9 years ago.  William Deal remembers that Phil told him he was 88 golden years young.

The new model was built and flown by PA (also 6 laps by William) on 28th February.

Some debate on the colour and trim of the original model, but, according to PA, "colour was black and yellow with the scheme sorta like pic on the box label".
