PFL 7th April, 2018

Pattern Competition at Phoenix Flyers 7th April, 2018.

Due to bad weather in February resulting in the cancellation of the February competition this was the first comp of the year.
Five members from "The Forties"  made the trip.  Team manager William Deal, Expert Mike Ralph, Advanced Tony Sheppard and Peter Allen, Sportsman Tony Gray.  Tony S. hooked up his trailer for the trip and carried three planes up and four planes back.

Breakfast and coffee as normal at Campbell Town then on to Panshanger for the fun.
Judges using the new Notaumatic scoring system
Steve Cochrane and his Vanquish
Scott Kay with his YS powered Xareltoo

we used the new Notaumatic score system for the first time in Tasmania.  A good system but slightly temperamental. A few teething issues for some of the judges.

The team from Roaring Forties with Shep's Fantasista.

Scott and Ralphy with Ralphy's Element
PA and Shep

Ben Goode with his new Alure and contra-rotating props.
Very nice.....may start a trend.

David Cook of PFL gained promotion from Sportsman to Advanced.

Shep's new trailer.  Can carry 5 pattern planes, has a
charging station and makes a great shelter.

A closer look at Ben's Alure.

Every one a winner!
