Australian Model Flying Day, 2016.

After the success of last year's Australian Model Flying Day the club decided to participate again this year and invite some of our friends from around the state.

And what an awesome day it turned out to be with models from many disciplines.  Pattern, IMAC, scale, control line, quads, old timers and jet turbines.

A huge vote of thanks to the ladies, led by Elaine, Elizabeth and Val, for a memorable lunch once again.  Not many clubs put on a three course meal, with seconds if you are so inclined.

Robyn and Andrew McEntyre with Andrew's scale model of a 1910 Taube Monoplane.

Mike Rutledge with his Extra.

Tina and Steve Reece keeping warm.

Tony Gray with his Monolog 70.

Tony Sheppard's fleet, a Mytho Pro, Fantasista 70 and a Tomboy 36.

Ken Ward dabbling with a multi rotor.

New member John Moody with a single channel electric.

Tony and John.

Peter Allen even brought along a control line model.

Bill Gregory, Ken and Peter discussing the merits or otherwise of control line.

Tony Gray "fine tuning" the dihedral on his Lanso Bomber, old timer.  Mark Prince and Mike Thomas admiring Tony's technique. The Lanso did not make it through the day.

Gavin Hallam and Lyell Glover with one of Gavin's many jet turbines.

Tony Gray with his Sbach.  The Sbach is powered a35cc petrol engine made from scratch by Tony Gray.
The engine did not miss a beat all day.

Bill Gregory with Tony Sheppard's Fantasista 70.  Bill had a fly of the model and
was so impressed he is trying to source one for himself.

A couple of old timers, Tony and Mike, with their Old Timers.

The feast.
