| Scott and Richard having a well earn break. |
A club
work day was held to install irrigation pipeline to the model flying field.
An excellent turn out of members enabled the work to proceed as planned, or was
it the smell of the BBQ that beckoned! Approx 800m of 25mm poly pipe and fittings
were purchased for the project. The tie in connection was made at the top end
of the property, connected to a water meter, then laid out against the Northern
fence, strung across the creak with wire supports, continuing on against the
fence until reaching the flying strip. At this point a trench was dug to the
middle of the flying strip with a 90deg turn at edge of the new cross strip
finishing about half way up.
The digger operator, Richard worked tirelessly all morning and enabled the underground pipework to be completed on the day. Fantastic job Richard, thanks from all of us. A big thank you to all involved with the work on the day with special thanks to President Mike, also Tony G and Scott for sourcing
and delivering the hardware to site.

| Great lunch, thanks Dave. |
The BBQ was
set up in the machinery shed, the chairs set out under the trees making it a
very pleasant site.
Thanks to Tony S for
donating an esky full of “refreshments”…….we really enjoyed those!
Thanks to Elaine, Colleen & Chris for the all the
goodies also Tony G and Dave, a great job on the BBQ.
A little
work still required on the trench tops, however a very successful work day and
a top BBQ enjoyed by all.
